Baldwins Department Stores are an independent  Department Store chain formed in 2010 after the local Co-op / Vergo Department Stores closed. They are based in Stowmarket, Ipswich, Dovercourt, Mersea and Halstead. Each store has its own abundance of exciting and different products to suit all tastes. The owner, Kevin Baldwin, and his friendly staff have over 100 years combined experience in the retail trade.

Ranges from Bestform, Naturana, Lepel & Triumph are lines of quality and affordable.

Beautiful brands from Tide, Lovely and Indulgence Jewellery.

Home Furnishings, Readymade Curtains, Bed Linen, Sheets, Duvets, Pillows, Bath Linen and towels - basic to luxurious including Egyptian Cotton. Brands include Charlotte Thomas. We also sell Beds in Stowmarket and Dovercourt stores.

 

Our main cookshop and gifts can be found in the Stowmarket store, selected ranges can be found in our other stores.

 

Travel:

We offer a new range of luggage, travel bags, back packs and ruck sacks. Including leading collections from Skyflite and Woodbridge. We have a handbag department at all our stores.

 

Beauty:

Our beauty products include brands from Yardley, Heathcote & Ivory and The Great British Soap Company.

Sew & Knit:

Wool and Haberdashery can be found in our Stowmarket, Ipswich and Mersea stores, From cottons to buttons, patterns to ribbons, needles and accessories.   Our suppliers include: Sirdar, Groves and Banks, and StyleCraft.

Sports:

Accessories are exclusive to our Halstead stor and offer a small range of top quality sports accessories. If its not instore we can order it for your in less than 48 hours.

Kids & Toys:

Kidswear from Blade & Rose. Traditional wooden toys available in Stowmarket.

Schoolwear:

Can be found at our Halstead store supplying a number of local Schools in the area.
